SuppTrax Review: A Supplement Management Platform for Roofers

SuppTrax is one of the newer names in the roofing supplement world — founded by Remko Bloemhard and positioned as an SMP (Supplementing Management Platform) that bolts onto whatever CRM you're already running. If you've got more than a handful of supplements in flight at any given time, it's worth knowing what it does.
What SuppTrax actually is
Most roofing CRMs are built for the sales pipeline — leads, appointments, contracts, install. Supplements live in a spreadsheet, an email inbox, or somebody's head. SuppTrax exists to give that side of the business its own operating system: which claim needs a touch today, which one is stuck at the adjuster, which rep is closing supplements and which one is leaking money.
- Supplement pipeline visibility. Every claim in flight, sorted by what needs to happen next.
- KPIs that matter. Cycle time, approval rate, dollars recovered per file, dollars per rep. The stuff you can't run a department without.
- Bolt-on architecture. It doesn't try to replace your CRM. It sits next to it and handles the piece your CRM was never built for.
Where it helps
If you're running $5M+ in volume and supplements are still tracked in a shared Google Sheet, SuppTrax is the kind of tool that pays for itself in a quarter — not because the software is magic, but because you can't fix what you can't see. The minute a sales manager can look at supplement cycle time and dollars recovered per rep, behavior changes.
It's also useful for owners who suspect they're leaving money on the table but can't prove it. A tracker like this exposes the gap between what your team says they're supplementing and what actually makes it through.
Where it stops
Same story as any workflow tool: SuppTrax tracks the work. It doesn't do the work. If your team doesn't know how to write a defensible supplement in Xactimate, doesn't know the code arguments, doesn't know how to hold a room with an adjuster — the KPIs just tell you, in higher resolution, that you're not recovering money. The dashboard doesn't fix the skill gap.
The tool also assumes you already have a process. If supplements at your shop are ad-hoc — whoever gets to it first, however they feel like doing it — you need to install the process before you install the platform. Otherwise you're just paying for a nicer view of the chaos.
Who it fits
Mid-market and enterprise roofers who've already committed to running supplements as a real department. If you've got 3+ people on supplements, or you're planning to, SuppTrax (or something like it) becomes hard to skip.
If you're a two-person shop, you probably don't need it yet. Start with the skill, get a repeatable process on paper, then add the tracking layer.
How this fits with what we teach
The math I keep coming back to: the average supplement adds roughly 20% to a job. On a $15,000 roof that's $3,000 recovered — per file. A platform like SuppTrax makes sure none of those files fall through the cracks. Training — the Supplement Class curriculum — makes sure your team knows how to actually earn that $3,000 when the file gets to them.
You need both. And if you're evaluating the AI side of the stack too, here's my read on Brelly AI — the claims copilot most contractors are asking about right now.
Ready to install the skill layer? Start the training — $199/mo, whole team, no contracts.
